Lila Gutuskey, PhD, is a Principal Research Associate for Social Policy and Economics Research. She brings many years of experience in research design and evaluation-focused training and technical assistance. Gutuskey enjoys developing capacity-building opportunities for implementers related to data collection, program evaluation, and dissemination of findings. Her work has focused on nutrition education programs, social marketing campaigns, empowerment approaches to programs and evaluation, and the use of equitable evaluation approaches in public health.
Gutuskey directs the Fiscal Year 2022 WIC [Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children] State Plans Abstraction Study, Improving SNAP [Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program]-Education [SNAP-Ed] Data study, and Examining the Use of SNAP-Ed Priority Indicators and Targeted Interventions for USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service. She also supports the WIC Health Outcomes and Participant Experiences Study and provides quality assurance to the WIC Participant and Program Characteristics Study 2024 and 2026 and Support for Assessment of State Waivers for Demonstration Projects.
